Dubai, located in the Middle East, has internationally recognized educational institutions and lucrative employment prospects. Due to the large influx of refugees, several well-known international universities have opened campuses in Dubai to provide high-quality education that meets Western expectations.
Students with a student visa are not permitted to work in Dubai. They do, however, have internship opportunities after they finish their studies. If a student is offered an internship, they are permitted to work as an intern in Dubai. The "Residence permit for employment" is the common name for the Dubai job visa. The visa allows qualifying candidates who choose to work in the private sector in Dubai to apply for up to three years.
After obtaining a legitimate work offer from a Dubai employer, the employer should apply on the student's behalf for a Student Part-Time Employment Permit. With the employer, the student must sign the arrangement – Standards of Student Part-Time Employment form. The employer must apply the form along with the Permit submission. International students studying in the United Arab Emirates are now eligible for a five-year student visa, which replaces the previous one-year visa limit. A 10-year residency visa is also available for professionals such as physicians and engineers.
If an employer provides sponsorship, it is possible to gain citizenship in Dubai. Every three years, the applicant must extend the Dubai residency visa.
