WORK PERMIT

  • During the semester, 15 hours per week is allowed, and a full-time job is allowed during the holidays and vacations.
  • Working as a part-time employee for 15 hours per week during the career search following graduation is possible.

STAY BACK

Non-EU students are permitted to remain in Switzerland for six months after graduation to search for work in their profession. They can only do so, though, if they secure a residence permit.

PERMANENT RESIDENCY

Students only need to obtain a residence permit from cantonal resettlement offices after their studies are completed. The student will be able to remain in Switzerland for another six months with this visa. This extended period gives students more time to search for a full-time or permanent position. e or permanent position.
