IELTS

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is the most widely used English language proficiency test worldwide for higher education and international migration. The British Council, IDP, IELTS Australia, and Cambridge Assessment English are all involved in English language testing systems.  The evaluation is based on the following factors:  Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking are the four skills that students must master. IELTS Academic and IELTS General Training are the two IELTS tests available.

  • IELTS Academic - determines if your English language proficiency is appropriate for an academic setting. It evaluates whether you're ready to begin training or studying.
  • IELTS General Training - is a test that assesses English language proficiency in a real-world setting. Both workplace and social situations are reflected in the tasks and tests.

OET- OCCUPATIONAL ENGLISH TEST

The Occupational English Test – The Occupational English Test (OET) is a language assessment for healthcare professionals. It evaluates healthcare professionals' proficiency in the language and communication skills to register and practice in an English-speaking country. Dentistry, dietetics, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, optometry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry, radiography, speech pathology, and veterinary science are among the 12 professions for which OET is available. The exam is divided into four sections:

  • Learning All healthcare professionals should listen to the same content. Follow and comprehend a variety of spoken health-related materials, such as patient consultations and lectures.
  • Reading   The same content is read by all healthcare professionals. Read and comprehend various types of text on health-related topics

  • Writing  is specific to a profession and is based on common workplace scenarios. Writing a letter, usually, a referral letter, is a task. A different type of letter is sometimes required, especially for certain professions: a letter of transfer or discharge or a letter to advise or inform a patient, career, or group
  • Speaking   professionally, based on typical workplace scenarios, you will participate in two role-plays in a private room to accomplish this. You play a patient or client, or sometimes a relative or a career, while the interlocutor plays a patient or client or a relative or a job.

PTE: PEARSON TEST OF ENGLISH

Pearson English Tests (PTE) PTE Academic is a computer-based academic English language test for non-native English speakers who want to study in a foreign country. PTE Academic, PTE General, and PTE Young Learners are among the tests available. The QCA has accredited these scenario-based exams, which are administered in collaboration with Edexcel, the world's largest examining body.
